Indians and Italian Cuisine..

Guess what.. today thought enough of the Biryani and the Tandoori roti's I had till now in my life and went online to Google to search for something which i have never tried before...
Voila ... The first thing i find in search was ITALIAN! I said to myself that i should not take this risk for two reasons, first and foremost I was very hungry and the second and equally serious one was I hate PASTA. Now you might laugh at my being naive thinking that Italian means only pasta, but hey ask an Italian about indian food and you will see fumes coming from their ears thinking Indian food means SPICES!
So then i made my mind to take the risk this one time, and there i landed on the entrance to this Italian restaurant. The ambience was pleasant and nice. Then i sat for sometime and the maitre got me the so called MENU! I think even GOD himslef would have fainted looking at the names there! And they say Zoology is weiredest names!
Hmmm so there i was pondering what to have with complicated names buzzing about me, and there one item among them all that made some sense, and that was Chicken Steak with "alien" sauce and beans! So there it was my lunch for the day.. hence i called the maitre and asked him to get me a mixed vegan soup and the chicken steak, as my main course. After he went to fletch my order i seemed pretty please with myself for having solved the "Problem" at hand. I sank back in my cushioned chair and waited as patiently as a Student who was waiting for his results!
First came my good looking soup and i said ok one hurdle cleared. I added some salt as Italians i believe treasure salt, hence add less!! once i was ready started the devouring episode.. soon i was done with it which i did in a record time at that place, the wait started for the main course. Did not have to wait long as came the Chicken steak with beans and stuff around it and guess what there was another piece of bread along with it, Italians and there obsession with bread i would say!
But coming back to my main course it looked delicious... and as soon as he placed it i pounced on it like a drunk would on a piece of Kebabs!
I got to work on it with a fork and a knife, it was actually delecious and well done. It was soft juicy and tender and the bread and beans gave it a good add-on.
So there i was feeling full and satisfied and thinking about the unwanted tension i was taking when ordering the stuff i had..i pondered on this and smiled to myself while washing all this down with a glass of chilled coke...and the girls who were on the tables besides me also helped in improving the "Environment"!!!
Hmmm so now at-least i can say i love Italian!
Hope the last statement does not offend any political party!!! She is too old now for Christ sake!!
Cheers to Life
